One of my favorite pasttimes is creating and viewing Anime Music Videos. To date I have only completed 2 videos myself, but I get ideas and insprirations for new ones all the time. The only thing holding me back right now is that I need to purchase a new Analog to Digital Media Converter. With that I will be able to create much higher quality videos than the two I made so far. In the mean time i hope you enjoy what I have made, or what I have mirrored on my server.

This was the first production from The Shadow Zone Studios, I have plans on re-making it as my skills have greatly improved since then. My biggest complaint is that I was "special effect transition happy", my main reason for wanting to do it over. Being my first video there are some things that annoy me, the low quality and special effect transitions being the biggest. Original production took about 3-4 weeks off and on and learning at the same time. I used an iXMicro TV board for the capture, which I did using MJPEG software compression, this turned out to be my biggest error, but I worked around it.

The video is from the Neon Genesis Evangelion series, probally over done now, but back in '99 it was still new to the US. The series remains in my top 5 in overall favorite anime and my only hope is that someday Death and Rebirth will make it to the states in an offical format (non-fansub). (-update- this has been announced!)

This video does conatin some spoilers as it covers the entire series in it's 4 min 51 second length. However the video is split up enought that if you have not seen the series, it won't ruin it for you (one of the things I was trying to be carefull of).

I don't believe I've yet to see a NGE AMV that takes the same track as I did, take that as you will, but I like it. If you d/l it please let me know how you liked it, and if you think I should re-make it. I have much better equipment now and I think my editing skills have improved a great deal, so someday I'll get around to it, but let me know if someday should be sooner rather than later.

My latest vid gets it's footage from the awesome Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 series. The music is CHUMBAWUMBA's "mary mary" from the Stigmata soundtrack, a killer song that I think goes very nicely with the captured video.

This was kind of a rush job, and I think there's a little too much repitition, but the capture quality is higher than "The EVA Project".

Here is my latest video. I plan on using it as a intro video for all new anime music vids. The footage comes from The Drak Crystal DVD and the music is from the song "Trip Like I Do" by The Crytals Method. It is about 20 seconds long, and I really like it. It took about 3 hours to create, and is the first video I have made using DVD footage and imovie to edit.
